I’ve heard it said that no one really knows where they’re going, we only know how to get there. One step at a time.

For me, photography has become less of taking pictures and more of finding the world.I could meet a thousand people, travel to the edge of it all, and still not come to terms with the idea that I am here only for this moment. The notion that everything will come to pass, and that nothing will be the same tomorrow the way it is today, intrigues me to pick up my camera and capture.

The subtlety of symmetry, the quiet of looming curves, and the nostalgia of colors is what I aim to shoot. It could be the passing of cars alongside a downtown fervor, or the loneliness of a man left with only the will to survive, as long as the story, the feeling, and the passion is there to behold. I’ve shot fashion photography, I’ve done candids, I’ve camped at desertlands with the intent to shoot the stars, but no matter how different my pictures may range, I can only say that my camera has documented my life one frame at a time. It has helped me to make sense of the world.

There is no greater artistic fulfillment to me than knowing that I have been to places unexplored and have found its secrets hidden in some forgotten corner. Many times, there in the silence of being alone and lost, have I produced my proudest works. The lens, the bracketing, the aperture, and the shutter speed are just words I know to help me understand the world the way I see it.
